Multiplicity Dependence in the Non-Extensive Hadronization Model Calculated by the HIJING++ Framework

The non-extensive statistical description of the identified final state particles measured in high energy collisions is well-known by its wide range of applicability. However, there are many open questions that need to be answered, including but not limited to, the question of the observed mass scaling of massive hadrons or the size and multiplicity dependence of the model parameters. This latter is especially relevant, since currently the amount of available experimental data with high multiplicity at small systems is very limited. This contribution has two main goals: On the one hand we provide a status report of the ongoing tuning of the soon-to-be-released HIJING++ Monte Carlo event generator. On the other hand, the role of multiplicity dependence of the parameters in the non-extensive hadronization model is investigated with HIJING++ calculations. We present cross-check comparisons of HIJING++ with existing experimental data to verify its validity in our range of interest as well as calculations at high-multiplicity regions where we have insufficient experimental data.Comment: This paper is based on the talk at the 18th Zim\'anyi School, Budapest, Hungary, 3-7 December 201

A prizonizációs elmélet újragondolása és alkalmazási lehetőségei egy hazai fegyintézeti populáción = Reconsideration of Prisonization Theory and Its Application for a Hungarian Prison Sample

Doktori értekezésemet egy, a hazai kriminológiában kevésbé ismert témakör, a prizonizációs jelenség vizsgálatának szántam. A prizonizáció egyfajta börtönszocializációs folyamatként határozható meg, amelynek során az elítéltek átveszik a fegyintézeti társadalom érték- és normarendszerét. A prizonizációs jelenség vizsgálata elsősorban az észak-amerikai kriminológusok és szociológusok körében évtizedeken keresztül az egyik legkedveltebb kutatási témák közé tartozott, ezért az elméleti és empirikus bázis is a tengerentúlon alakult ki. A korábbi elméleti és empirikus szakirodalom alapvetően kétféle magyarázó modellből indult ki a prizonizációs jelenség vizsgálatakor. Az egyik ezek közül a bebörtönzés okozta frusztrációkra és feszültségekre vezette vissza az elítéltek sajátos értékrendszerének az elfogadását (deprivációs modell), a másik pedig abból, hogy a fogvatartotti társadalom előírásai és tiltásai bizonyos értelemben a bekerülés előtti időszakra vezethetők vissza (importációs modell). A korábbi prizonizációs vizsgálatok emellett nemcsak a prizonizáció különböző determinánsait, hanem annak „következményeit” is elemezték

Ismeretlen Ybl-tervek Theophil Hansen bécsi hagyatékában

Unknown Plans by Ybl in the Bequest of Theophil Hansen in Vienna In Theophil Hansen’s bequest in Vienna, a series consisting of three previously unknown sheets of paper is stored at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Kupferstichkabinett. These are contempo-raneous, partly coloured photographic copies of Miklós Ybl’s drawings of the Palace of Customs in Pest. The drawings are from the early planning stage of the Palace of Customs (mid-June to mid-July 1870), on which the Budapest City Archives’ Ybl Bequest holds very little data. In addition to their documentary value, these sheets are also important because of the precise information they pro vide regarding the various modifications that took place during the planning, including the exact chronology of these modifications. These documents also enable us to tie a perspec- tive view previ ously known from reproductions to this series and thereby date it more precisely. These three copies were made in Budapest and wound up in Vienna presumably because their au- thor asked his Viennese colleague and great authority Theophil Hansen to give an expert opinion on the plans.
